{Thirteen in 2013} A Recap

It seems to me like there's no time like midway through the first month of 2014 to reflect back on 2013. (Either that, or work has been rather more overwhelming basically since the day I got back - sorry!) In any case, it's still so hard for me to believe that 2013 has come and gone, and with it, my little Thirteen in 2013 project. You can see a recap of the first six months of the project here, if you'd like, and I thought I'd let you know how the rest of the year went as well (it didn't let me down, that's for sure!)
It's funny how goals and hopes and dreams can change so drastically even in the space of a year, and I think a little of that went on, especially once I moved to England, but I had a great time accomplishing the majority of the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year. Many of them, in fact, I was done with by the start of summer (my first 5K and travelling to a new place in the States, for example), but others, like travelling to a new place in the world (moving to Cambridge has to count!) and reading every single one of those twelve books, kept straight on going.

I finished a book every month. (Find all of my reviews starting here.)

I started a photo blog to document my time in Cambridge. There are too many pictures from my phone on there, but I'm working on it.

Graduating university and seeing my friends scattered around the world has turned Skype, G-Chat, and Facebook Chat into my best friends. Also, iMessage and FaceTime are the best.

My final goal was to travel to one place in the world I had never been to. I've been England my fair share of times, but I had never been to Cambridge before the day I moved in, so I suppose there's that. Mission accomplished, even if on a small scale.

I have a slightly smaller (but equally exciting!) project of sorts for 2014 here.
