International Inspiration

There's something about European design that just gets me sometimes.  I love the classic details like herringbone wooden floors, graceful fireplaces, high ceilings, and large casement windows that seem to come standard in European apartments.  Even our apartment in Paris this summer had all of those features, and it was an unusual little place- it was built in the 17th century (can you imagine?), and it's most recent major update seems to have taken place sometime around the 1970s.  These apartments, in Stockholm and London, plus the gorgeous building entrance in Paris, are all much more glamorous than the place I lived last year, and I'd love to call any one of them home- or at least draw some inspiration for a place of my own, wherever it may be!
